This past week I joined many Canadians in grieving the loss of NDP Leader Jack Layton. As so often happens when someone dies we are reminded of the impermanence of life. All that we truly have is the present moment, right now. So when you think life is going too fast or negative thoughts are filling your mind, notice your breath. It will bring you back to the present moment. Take in a deep breath and watch it as it fills your body. Fully exhale. Pause at the end of each inhale and exhale. Be present. Be.
